Zaouiya Sidi Ibrahim Bentoumi:
Classified as a national heritage, this zawiya was built on the orders of Ali Bey, the ruler of Tunisia. Its construction took the form of a dome, and is one of the most important religious monuments in the city. It was built in honor of Sheik Ibrahim bin Tumi, one of Annaba’s most famous Sufi leaders, and his tomb is inside. Above the entrance to the dome are worms engraved in honor of the sheik. We also point out that this zawiya was once a refuge for Sufists, travelers and students of knowledge.
